What almost no one wants to hear

18 inconvenient truths of creation

The inconvenient truths of creation, it's not what you think!

If you're anything like me, tearing apart comforting lies and taking hits of inconvenient truths is what you prefer for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you subscribe to the 3 meals per day club that is.

But let's keep on point shall we.

One of my core metaphysical programs implies the following.

What an apple is to an apple tree, (co)creation is to a human.

This maxim taken to its logical conclusion therefore arrives at the proposition that tapping into creative genius could just as well be the epitome of human existence.

This is of course uniquely individual to each and every one of us and varies significantly, but that's one of the mesmerizing beauties of existence, the spice of life.

So if we take this hypothesis as a true principle, what are some of the true postulates that put you squarely into the (co)creator's seat?

1. Successful people are neither smarter nor more creative than you.

They are simply executing better.

2. Success comes from doing somewhat-monotonous things every day for long periods of time.

No one wants to hear this.

3. No one cares what you do, we care what you can do for us!

4. No one on Earth thinks about you as much as you think they do.

5. You know exactly what you should be doing, so stop chasing shiny objects.Instead, figure out why you aren't doing what you know you should be.

6. You can solve almost every modern-day problem with writing, exercise, clean eating, sunshine, and meditation

7. If you spent half as many hours taking action as you did thinking about taking action, you would be in a better spot.

8. 95% of reading, planning, and brainstorming is procrastination disguised as productivity.

9. If you are reading productivity/inspiration blogs, you are working on the wrong project.

10. You can't deposit the number of books you've read or followers you have in a bank account.

11. You said you would start months ago.

12. You have three finite resources: time, energy, and attention (arguably the same resource).

Every time you waste them, they're gone forever.

13. You can complain about the game or you can learn the rules. (and then go on to improve it)

14. The market rewards not the best product, but the product who best positions themselves as the obvious solution.

15. If you're afraid to publish things online (put yourself out there), you have an ego problem. Solve it!

16. The people you look up to are not "that special" and are no more talented than you are.

16. If you did everything you said you'd do, your results would be 10x better than they are.

17. Being "busy" is a sign you lack leverage and are delegating poorly.

18. 99% of people would rather be uncomfortable and unhappy than uncertain.

If you found any of this triggering, great.

We're onto something here.
