Dare to dream big using the 10 Commandments of Creation

If you’re serious about courageously claiming your highest desires, learn this process:

If you’re serious about courageously claiming your highest desires, learn this process:

I recently had an intense conversation with a friend.

She is running her first cohort and doing her own thing after several years of searching for purpose through work.

Feeling like she wants to be further along on her journey and having a bigger impact.

So we sat down and had a painful conversation.

I took out the proverbial scalpel and made a few precise incisions.

It felt like performing permission-based emotional surgery.

Raw, intense, and cathartic.

As we went deeper into it, a release of frustration and anger.

Being able to identify the emotions was (is) key.

It's the underlying emotions that fuel EVERYTHING we do.

It's the emotions we evoke in others through our work, and through our expression that make the difference.

People often imagine themselves to be this rational animal that makes calculated moves.

But let's admit it.

We do EVERYTHING based on what or how we FEEL.

So we came to the point in our conversation where she'd had enough of me hammering in this message.

YOUR CREATION, YOUR OFFER, YOUR SERVICE.

Those are all underpinned by the energetics (emotions) of why you are doing this.

With a resounding and decisive voice, she said: "I'm done waiting around! I don't want to examine yet another layer of wounding! I want to move forward NOW!"

"I can’t stop again to find what energetic place this need to be further in my journey comes from."

This is perfect.

You don’t want to be waiting around and procrastinate until “everything feels right” to make your moves in the world.

In fact, starting, and showing up for the process consistently is exactly what moves the needle.

That’s the boring, mundane, and repetitive part of the game of living an examined life.

Take action, move forward, and clean up what surfaces as a result of the action you took.

This right here is the key that unlocks personal development, spiritual growth, and creativity.

BUT.

Here's the catch:

To take action and hammer in the process consistently until it becomes a habit "second nature", you need to adopt the identity first.

What do I mean by identity?

There's an epic interview I saw once with an Iron man marathon runner. He ran every morning. Whether he "felt like it" or not.

And the interviewer asked him: Where do you find the motivation to run?

His response: "I don't think about that at all. I'M A RUNNER. That's what I do."

So to bring this home, I'll assume that you're reading this newsletter and following my work because you're serious about living a life of purpose and creativity.

You want to increase your impact on the world by mastering yourself.

Becoming a creative force to be reckoned with.

And in the process of creation, you are recreating yourself.

The vehicle of your personal transformation and the alchemical process of inner work is identical to the online business you're building.

The work of art, your offering is transforming the individuals you serve just as much as it is transforming you in turn.

Because you see this creative expression as a mirror.

It's a mirror for you and those you engage with to reflect:

  • reflect on your deeply rooted beliefs and conditioning around self-worth

  • reflect on the need for approval and acknowledgment

  • reflect on your relationships with friends, family, and finance.

And in doing so, we are fulfilling a much bigger purpose of stepping into the role of co-creator.

A co-creator of your own life, but also that of your immediate environment.

And so your unique experience and perspective are desperately needed.

“Nature loves courage. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood. This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it’s a feather bed.” – Terrence McKenna

You want to reverse the consumer culture trend into cultivating a creative culture within yourself.

Because you'll always get more of what you think and do.

What are you creating?
