Time is not linear.

The past does not control the future.

You are not the result of your past activities.

There never will be any other moment you are able to experience except for the present.

It is also the only moment where you're able to make decisions and take action.

Your past is a result of the decisions you make and the actions you take right now.

And it accumulates.

We get confused about this, but saying that your past controls your actions in this moment is like saying the tail wags the dog.

Or the wake steers the ship.

That's ridiculous.

And it's ridiculous to think and act as if you are the victim and prisoner of your past.

There is zero gravity to those events that have transpired.

Unless you dwell on it.

Meaning, you live in your head, ruminating and replaying these events in the present moment.

Unnecessarily extending any hardship.

This is a pretty simple concept.

If you truly strive to implement it in your life, it will have a disproportional compounding effect.
