The simple process of becoming a wealthy artist
The Good, the Bad, the Ugly and the Neo-Renaissance
Hi Friend,
I’m having a giggle right now, laughing at myself as I hit publish for this week’s Monday Mastery Museletter. On Tuesday.
And it’s particularly a(muse)ing because it speaks to a deeper principle and my lifelong journey of learning to work with the idealist, nay, the perfectionist within.
If I had a dime for every time I procrastinated on doing something instead of obsessing about how it should be.
Well, let’s just say I’d have a shit load of dimes. I might or might not follow up with a comprehensive dataset and fancy pie charts.
Without further ado, let’s dive into the nitty gritty:
Creative genius fuelled by torment and anguish
After a decade and a half of working in corporate, I grew tired of the same. The same story of: “Great work Aleks”, and “splendid results, now let’s focus on the next quarter.”
“We got to hit those financial goals, it’s going to be tough, but we have to squeeze just a bit more.”
Perpetual growth with the promise of a better tomorrow.
The hamster wheel of never being, having, nor doing enough.
You know the drill.
Void of purpose, meaning, or any depth and intimacy of relationships.
Leading a double life of work and play.
Believing that work is a sacrifice you make of your authentic self for money.
Because you look around you and everyone seems to have accepted this idea.
You see and feel that those around you have given up on dreaming and daring of a different life.
And yet, you never give up.
Changing teams, companies, industries, countries, and managers, searching for what you know in your heart is possible.
A life of purpose, fulfillment, and alignment across what you think, feel, and do.
Where you are seen and heard, acknowledged for your genius, and the value you bring to others.
The beacon of light, love, and intelligence you continue to radiate despite the despair and discontent that stirs in the depth of your soul.
The idealist within that sees how things can and “should be” different. Better.
This thorny path of searching for a better place is not an external journey.
But a journey within. Deep within my unconscious. Lurking in the dark corners of my psychic content.
Dreams, Visions, and Ideas.
“If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.”
The creative impulse
Little did I know.
Discontent and anguish are the fuel for creative expression in the world.
A beautiful lotus flower grows out of the mud.
A gorgeous tree with its branches reaching high heaven is rooted all the way down to hell.
The artist captures the essence of the times (Zeitgeist) and expresses it through a chosen medium of communication.
It’s not a question of will.
You either bring forward that which is stirring within you.
Or it will consume you.
It will destroy you.
It will drown you in self-destructive behavior.
A neverending series of escape routes and coping mechanisms.
Anything, but allowing yourself to sit with yourself in silence.
Feel the fucking discomfort.
And move through it until you expressed what needed to be expressed.
There’s no other way.
The way of the Wealthy Artist
Our collective cultural conditioning holds no regard for artistic, intuitive, and creative individuals.
Our schooling system is focused on creating a commodity, an easily replaceable employee. A wage-slave.
If it doesn’t serve the corporate profit god, it’s discarded as useless and pitiful.
Think of the starving artist. Unacknowledged by culture until death or at the mercy of wealthy patrons.
Until now that is.
You are alive in one of those rare occurrences in human history.
The change of guards.
If you haven’t noticed, the uniform mainstream media narrative collapsed.
You have to be braindead to believe and continue to place trust in our institutions.
But this is not one of those Hollywood stories.
There’s no alien invasion or a mass extinction meteor flying hurling towards Earth.
There’s no fight against the communists/capitalists.
Those are all very familiar marketing campaigns that will have you distracted and in fear.
Because it’s one of those pivotal times when your decisions and action now has infinite upside potential in years to come.

Ok, Aleks.
You paint a compelling picture of a potential future timeline.
But I don’t know how to make my creative expression into a purpose-driven business.
I hear you.
Some of us spent decades building repeatable revenue for businesses, while others honed in their creative expression.
The sweet spot lies in plain sight. At the intersection of these apparently opposing aspects.
It’s the alchemical wedding, of the executive warrior and creative artist.
I like to call this archetype the wealthy artist.
If this resonated and you feel you could use some guidance in getting your purpose-driven business solid foundations, you know where to reach me.
